Offgrid requires iOS 26 or later and includes a translation model of approximately 1.02 GB. Allow enough installation space and wait for initial model preparation before translating.
Text and photo translation work offline. Speech conversation requires language support and installed Apple speech resources. Before travelling, connect to the internet and prepare the required languages under Settings > Speech Resources.
Check camera, microphone, and speech recognition permissions in iOS Settings. Speech support varies by device and language. Text translation remains available without these permissions.
Long text is translated in segments. Processing time varies with device and text length. After cancellation, continue from the current screen or the history entry. History is stored locally and can be deleted in the app.
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Offgrid version, selected languages, and steps to reproduce. Remove personal information from screenshots and sample text.
